Megalakult a Kanadai Magyar Ifjúsági Tanács (KMIT)
A Kanadai Magyar Kulturális Tanács (KMKT) égisze alatt megalakult a Kanadai Magyar Ifjúsági Tanács (KMIT)-jelentette be a szervezet elnöke a 34. Tusványosi Szabadegyetem Diaszpóra kerekasztal ülésén.
A “Jövő Nemzedék Éve” jegyében a KMKT a kanadai diaszpóra magyar jövőjének megmaradása érdekében megteremti a lehetőséget, hogy fiataljaink (18-35 éves korig) minél többen részt vegyenek magyarságmegtartó törekvéseinkben.
A Kanadai Magyar Ifjúsági Tanács kiemelt feladatának tekinti, hogy különböző programok által lehetőséget biztosítson a fiatalok számára a Magyar Kormány képviselőivel és a kanadai magyar szervezeti vezetőkkel való közvetlen kommunikációra, dialógusra, valamint arra, hogy hallassák hangjukat az őket leginkább érintő kérdésekben.
A KMKT elkötelezett arra, hogy teret adjon a fiatalok véleményének és velük együttműködve próbálja meghatározni mi foglalkoztatja a fiatalokat, mivel motiválhatók a kanadai magyar diaszpórában való aktív, önkéntes szerepvállalásra.
A szervezet ifjúsági párbeszédet indítványoz, melynek célja, hogy a fiatalok közvetlenül találkozhassanak azokkal, akik formálják a kanadai magyar diaszpóra jelen ügyeit.
Az ifjúság aktív részvétele lehetőséget ad arra, hogy ezek a fiatalok megismerjék a kanadai magyar non-profit szervezetek felépítését, a szervezetekre vonatkozó kanadai törvényeket és ezek ismeretében képzett vezetővé váljanak.

A KMIT tisztségválasztó gyűlését a jelentkezők számától függően ez év októberére tervezzük.
The Canadian Hungarian Heritage Council (CHHC) has established the Canadian Hungarian Youth Council (CHYC)- the president of the umbrella organization announced it in Tusnádfürdő.
The Canadian Hungarian Heritage Council is committed to preserving the Hungarian heritage in the Canadian diaspora by creating opportunities for our youth (between the ages of 18 to 35) to participate in our efforts to preserve our identity.
The Canadian Hungarian Youth Council’s priority is to provide young people with the opportunity to communicate directly with representatives of the Hungarian Government and leaders of Canadian Hungarian organizations through various programs, and to have their voices heard on the issues that affect them most and to have their perspectives taken into consideration.
The CHHC is committed to giving space to young people’s opinions and working with them to determine what interests them, or how they can be motivated to take an active role in the Canadian Hungarian diaspora.
The organization proposes a youth dialogue, the aim of which is to allow young people to meet directly with those who shape the current landscape of the Canadian Hungarian diaspora.
The active participation of young people provides an opportunity for them to learn about the structure of Hungarian non-profit organizations in Canada, the Canadian laws applicable to our organizations and with this knowledge become qualified leaders.
